Learn to make bowls w/ foot rings

Summary // Students will learn how to center, open and pull up 2 Japanese inspired Tea cup/bowl. The course will focus on learning the basics techniques of shaping a bowl and the traditional Japanese bowl shapes including Tayoudons & Chawans. Students will be able to personalize their pieces using the many decorative stamps available. To perfect their shapes student will also learn how to create a high sophisticated footring for an elegant Japanese inspired finish.
Glazing session : Pieces will be fired within a week (check with your teacher that your piece has been fired before coming to glaze) and students will be able to come back to glaze their work for 2 hours with help & supervision. (time and date can be discussed)
Alternatively your teacher can glaze your piece for you in white shiny glaze only.
The price is per person and includes everything from tutoring, materials, firings and the glazing session.
All levels are welcome. We tailor the workshops according to your level. Anyone wanting to try the wheel for the first time or wanting a refresh is very welcome :p
Students will be able to take home with them their finished pieces after the two ceramic firings.
Your pieces will be fired within the next week following your glazing 🙂
