Summary // Students will learn how to center, open and pull up various shapes on the wheel to help them build confidence and autonomy. Students will also learn techniques of decoration to personalize their pieces and develop their creativity.

Summary:

Day 1: Intro to throwing:

1. Making a mug all the while learning about going up and shaping bellies

2. Throwing a bowl on the wheel all the while learning about openings

Day 2:

1. Throwing a plate on a bat

2. Trimming a footring for the bowl

Day 3:

1. Throwing a two piece vase all the while learning about connections & closure

2. Making a handle & added decorative reliefs onto our pieces

3. Finishing touches for all the pieces
