🗓️ When: Fridays from 5:00 to 8:00 PM
👥 Group Size: Max 7 participants (small, intimate groups)
🌱 Level: Beginners are very welcome!
🏺 The Workshop: Learn the basics of the potter's wheel and create 1 cup & 1 bowl.
🎨 Personalization: Customize your pieces using textures and unique finishes.
🖌️ Glazing Options: Have your pieces glazed by your teacher in your choice of color, or choose to do the glazing yourself as a student.
🗣️ Language: Classes are primarily taught in English, but French and Czech assistance is available if needed.

Summary
Students will learn how to center, open, and pull clay to create two unique pieces on the potter's wheel. You will also discover how to personalize each piece using the wide variety of textures, stamps, and tools available in the studio.

Technical Skills Covered:

Wheel Dynamics: Mastering the basics of wheel throwing and controlling centrifugal force.
Centering & Opening: Learning how to successfully center the clay and open up a balanced form.
Pulling Cylinders: Developing the technique to pull up walls and control the curve of your shapes.
Surface Decoration: Adding custom textures, carvings, stamps, and relief elements.
Attachments: Learning how to pull and securely attach handles or holders.

✨ GLAZING OPTIONS

Students have two options for finishing and coloring their pieces:

Glazing by the Teacher: Choose from a large selection of premium colors and styles curated specially for our studio. Your teacher will handle the firing and glazing for you, and your pieces will be ready for pickup in two weeks.
Glazing by the Student: Alternatively, you can return to the studio to glaze your own pieces free of charge. This independent session takes place on a Friday between 6:30 and 8:00 PM (the exact date will be scheduled together with your teacher).

📦 COLLECTION & PICK UP

You can pick up your finished pieces at the studio on Saturdays between 4:00 and 8:00 PM.

💳 PRICING

Pricing is per person and is fully inclusive of expert tutoring, clay, tools, both firings (bisque and glaze), and professional glazing by the teacher.

🌱 SKILL LEVEL

Our workshops are tailored entirely to your personal level. Whether you want to try the wheel for the very first time or refine your existing skills, you are incredibly welcome!

📌 STUDIO POLICY

Terra is a small, local business that depends entirely on our scheduled classes and courses. When you book a class, please make sure you are able to attend.

In the event of an unavoidable absence, we will do our absolute best to accommodate you in a future workshop, provided we can find a replacement to fill your missed spot. Full refunds are also strictly conditional on finding a replacement for your seat.
