🗓️ When: Fridays from 5:00 to 8:00 PM
🌱 Level: Beginners are very welcome—no prior experience needed!
🏺 The Workshop: Learn the art of wheel throwing and create 2 elegant, high-foot bowls on the potter's wheel.
🎨 Personalization: Customize your pieces using a variety of unique, Japanese-inspired textures and finishing tools.
🖌️ Glazing Options: Have your pieces glazed by your teacher in your choice of color, or join us for a hands-on glazing session to finish the pieces yourself.
👥 Group Size: Max 7 participants for an intimate, small-group experience.
🗣️ Language: Classes are primarily taught in English, but your teacher speaks Czech and French if assistance is needed.

Part 1: The Making Class (Check available dates below)
- When: Friday Afternoon Masterclass | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Part 2: The Glazing Class
- When: Friday Evening Glazing | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
- Alternative: You can choose to have your pieces glazed by the teacher.

📝 Workshop Summary

Students will learn how to center, open, and pull clay to create two unique, high-foot bowls on the potter's wheel. You will master the art of turning elegant, elevated footrings to give a striking silhouette to your work, and personalize your set using traditional texturing techniques.

🏺 Technical Skills Covered

Elevated Profiles: Learning how to trim and construct high footrings.
Hakeme Brushwork: Applying traditional white slip brush strokes for fluid, energetic textures.
Wabi-Sabi Alterations: Embracing organic asymmetry and intentional, natural imperfections.
Kurinuki Texture Application: Utilizing carving techniques to create raw, sculptural surface facets.

✨ GLAZING OPTIONS

Students have two options for finishing and coloring their pieces:

Glazing by the Teacher: Choose from a large selection of premium colors and styles curated specially for our studio. Your teacher will handle the firing and glazing for you, and your pieces will be ready for pickup in two weeks.
Glazing by the Student: Alternatively, you can return to the studio to glaze your own pieces free of charge. This independent session takes place on a Friday between 6:30 and 8:00 PM (the exact date will be scheduled together with your teacher).

📦 COLLECTION & PICK UP

You can pick up your finished pieces at the studio on Saturdays between 4:00 and 8:00 PM.

💳 PRICING

Pricing is per person and is fully inclusive of expert tutoring, clay, tools, both firings (bisque and glaze), and professional glazing by the teacher.

Our workshops are tailored entirely to your personal level. Whether you want to try the wheel for the very first time or refine your existing skills, you are incredibly welcome!

📌 STUDIO POLICY

Terra is a small, local business that depends entirely on our scheduled classes and courses. When you book a class, please make sure you are able to attend.

In the event of an unavoidable absence, we will do our absolute best to accommodate you in a future workshop, provided we can find a replacement to fill your missed spot. Full refunds are also strictly conditional on finding a replacement for your seat.
