Saturdays morning Masterclass from 10-1.30pm
GLAZING CLASS
Fridays evening Glazing (coloring) 6.30-8pm // or glazing by the teacher available free of charge
Summary // Students will learn how to center, open and pull up 2 pieces using the potter's wheel. They will create a traditional Japanese inspired Matcha Chawan mixing & pouring bowl and a cup to go with it. They will also learn how to finish their work and personalize them with the help of the many textures and tools available at the studio.
A gift pack is included in this workshop (Chasen ceramic whisk holder, matcha tea bag, wooden measuring spoons)
Technical aspects:
- Learn to shape a cylinder on the potter's wheel, open into a bowl and shape a curve.
- Learn how to shape the perfect height and width for your Chawan mixing bowl and the perfect teacup size.
- Learn how to shape an elegant and functional pouring spout.
- Add decorative elements such as textures, carvings, stamps & relief that fit your personality or the Japanese inspired aesthetic.
PICK UP
Students will receive an email when their pieces are ready to collect. They can then come pick up their pieces on:
- Tuesdays between 4-9pm
- Fridays between 4-8pm
- Saturdays between 4-8pm
PRICE
The price is per person and includes everything from tutoring, materials, firings and glazing by the teacher.
LEVEL
We tailor the workshops according to your level. Anyone wanting to discover the wheel or improve their skills is very welcome, beginner, inter or advanced :p

In case of absence, we will try our best to accomodate the student in another workshop with the condition that we can find a replacement for the missed class. Full refunds are only possible with the condition that we can find a replacement for the missed class.
